Tamiya 1:20 Ferrari F2001

My first step is to take as many parts off the trees as possible and fill in all the ejection pin marks. At the same time I will sand and file all the seam lines and clean up where the part was cut off the sprue. Whatever can be glued together has been glued. This will also allow the parts to be puttied.  Parts that may be easily lost or are not recognizable are left on the trees.

Here are the rear wing parts with the ejection pin marks being filled with Tamiya putty.

These are the barge boards, the rear lower cowling parts the airbox and the front of the side pods.

This is under the cowling. In the F1-2000 kit under the cowling was some sort of pattern. I believed this
represented insulation. The problem with this is that with the ejection marks this pattern is partially lost and ruined when one fixes these marks. In this kit there is no pattern so fixing the ejection pin marks
is easier.   Whether this is part of the design of the kit or not I think it is an improvement over the F1-2000 kit.

Here is the nose that has been glued together. During
assembly of this part I always test fit it to the front wing to make sure everything will fit together when everything has been painted and decaled.
