I have learned in the past that the eye can be fooled by solid colours. The legs looked good but it was hard to tell how smooth the surface is. A coat of grey primer seems to make all errors pop out. So after doing as much puttying and sanding I thought was needed to get a nice surface finish I primed the legs
Hard to tell in the photos but there are areas that need work.
