SERENITY - Oct 28 2007 This is the second model finished with some electronics in it. I have added lights for the rotating engine as well as the side engines and formation lights. The base paint is automotive black lacquer after the problems I had with the Alclad black primer. The base coat is Alclad II White Aluminum. I then used Testors Metalizer Sable metallic brown to weather it. Next a bit of Testors Metalizer Burnt iron to knock down the Sable Metallic brown weathering. Lastly it was MIG brown weathering. I am very happy with the results of this paint job. The rotating engine lights look good. The side engines are also nice. Formation lights were not as bright as I wanted and the rear bee hive lights are not bright enough. I might try and add more lights to the back so it is more noticable |
Side view. Like the previous one the side engines rotate |
Showing the base. The box underneath was needed to store the batteries. This is the same base as before |
3/4 view |
Same with the base covered |
A couple of more F Stops so the model is brighter |
Rear view |
Rear view with next to no lights anda long shutter speed to show what it looks like Out Of Gas |
And now with the lights on. Oops one of the bee hive turkey feathers got knocked and is slightly off. |
