Serenity - June 23 2007 |
The final stretch as I get it ready for the Charity Serenity Screening. Hot glue the landing pads to a sheet of foam core |
Close up |
Painted with Testors Metalizer Titanium |
The first one glued on. Also a good look at the various parts of the ship |
No 2 |
No 3. Crikey. The landing pad looks slightly bigger then the recessed area it is supposed to sit in. |
No 4 |
Then the decals go on. So after checking and rechecking references and triple checking I find that the solar panels are slightly too far forward. Crap! This slight error means the logos are also slightly misplaced to get them on. Not a major problem but annoying to me that I got it wrong |
Same with the other side. I would say the solar panel is forward by about 0.125" too much |
As I said before this side view shows the two side solar panels are in the wrong position as they are too close to the front array. Again not a life or death situation but annoying none the less. |
So we had the Serenity Screening today and everything went well. A super happy fun time was had by all and all for a good cause. I donated the glass etchings I had Morena and Jewel sign. Each one raised about $170cdn each. How cool is that? Early estimates are that we raised over $4500. Browncoats rule. |
