More casting

So it looks like I will be getting a set of castings on Saturday. The amount of resin used on the main body was a lot more then the caster thought. On the first pour he had to mix up a second batch as the resin he poured in just vanished into the mould. The mould is also the biggest he has made and he has made 1/16 scale Dodge Charger bodies. The mould just barely fit in his pressure pot and actually sliced off the rubber bands holding the mould together the first time he tried to put the mould into the pressure pot. The amount of resin was also a problem. The sheer weight actually opened up the bottom of the mould (nose) so adjustments had to made to fix that. The curly thing around the engine turned out to be pretty hard to remove from the mould due to the shape. If another mould is made it may be approached differently. Surprisingly the body was not had to remove from the mould. The problem casting was actually the side engines. Trying to cast in the engine pivot point created a lot of problems. This may have to be rethinked. So not much to do but wait
