OK my casting progress is not good with this new resin. It is thicker so it does not flow as well as the Alumilite. This means air bubble no matter how much I do to try and remove them. So all the ones on the bottom are rejects and the three up top are good. Not a great success rate
I try and do a straight pour with the turkey feathers but still air bubbles. I squeezed the mould to try and get out excess air but it didn't work
I have to revert to poking out the air bubbles. It didn't work to well before because the Alumilite set up too quickly before I could poke the end of each turkey feather. With this new resin I have more time
More casting
So I talked with my caster and he is saying that I should get the first casts of teh main body by next Saturday. Here is crossing my fingers
