So I think I am running out of stuff to do while waiting for the casting to be made. Now I seem to be making make work projects so I decide to try and put together baggies of all the parts I have cast so far. This way I can see which parts I have plenty of and which ones I am short of. I decide to try and make 10 sets.

First in the baggie is the resin antenna parts. I have also included a brass punched dish.

Next are the landing pads. Here is where I quickly find out I am short of parts. I can make only 3 sets. Time to start casting.

I am sure I mentioned tis before but bagging these little parts sure takes time and I am making only 10 sets. Also during the sorting process I noticed quite a few more parts are not as good as I originally thought and had to be put in the reject bin. The reject bin is where I have no problem using parts as I can fix them up but I would not give one of these reject parts to a friend..

I spoke with my caster and it turns out the moulds are not made yet. He poured one half of the main body and the RTV rubber took a bit longer to cure then normal. While this was curing he poured a couple of other moulds for other projects and the RTV rubber did not cure at all. So now he is waiting for more RTV rubber before he can finish off the first mould. He can not make any more moulds as the clay he is using has been held up in the 2 moulds where the rubber did not cure.
