So I stripped al the paint by dipping the shuttles into a container of Castrol Superclean Degreaser. Great stuff. So after a day of that a used toothbrush cleans off the rest of the paint. It is then primed again with Plasticote Gray Sandable primer. I then spray a gloss black Tamiya acrylic coat before the Alclad II steel colour. This time all the detail comes through

Or maybe too much detail as these items were rejected for a reason and I can see why. It also picks out all the flaws in my master. Metallic paints tend to do that

Only one side will be seen since they are going to be installed in their alcoves so one side of each shuttle is better then the other
