While trying to gouge out the recessed area a chunk of the putty cracked off. I guess it could not take the strain so I pulled it all off and will replace it with styrene

Initial carving of the styrene
More filing and sanding to shape
Almost there
Now I can start cutting out again
Marking the other side to do the same thing
Almost ready to go
