Marking off the part with a marker to check to make sure it looks good before making the parts

Using pop can aluminum I start making the part

One strip almost made. Now it was a mistake to make the outside curve first as it took quite a bit of time to match up the curve on the inside with files and such

Done after some careful filing to make sure I did not ruin the part

The second strip is made. The first part was used as a template to mark of the aluminum to make the cutting easier. This time I cut the inner curve first and then cut out the outer curve. This way I had more material to hold onto while carving the inner curve
