Meanwhile there is a similar panel on the bottom so I have ot make another panel. This panel is in a different location so the size is slightly different. To the left is a template I made to give me the correct side edge angle and the hole location. This was a lesson learned from the first panel in trying to get the left and right sides of the panel even. Sometimes all the careful measuring is not enough to get the two sides even.

Again the rough outline of the area to be cut out

Dremel tool time

Again more filing and sanding and test fitting until it slowly fits

Done and all that is needed now is for it to be glued in from the inside. Notice the little nobby things on the panel that I used my punch for

While looking at my references for the cone shaped area I noticed some recessed panel on the underside of the swirly thing. Well I of course have to add them. So I haul out the swirly thing to look at it and I noticed that the shape of the end of the swirly thing is slightly out. So my focus gets diverted elsewhere. Here is the part marked off to show the desired depth

Then the depth marks are attached with a line

Same with the other side

Out comes the Dremel tool with sanding drum. Then filing and sanding.

The other side also gets the same treatment
