Putty to get a smooth front
Cut a piece of styrene to get the dimension of this area. This will be used to make sure both sides are the same
Using the template I have cut the recessed parts to size. It was a lot harder then I thought and I had to do repairs on one of the sides
Areas marked to be ground out
Lots of grinding and test fitting later. It felt odd chopping into the body.
And the parts are test fitted to show where they will be.
