For the longest time there was a gap between the wing and the body |
Close up. Will this will have to be closed up so I have to start grinding away at the inside until I get what is causing the problem and fix it |
Also some parts of the leading and trailing edges are a bit rough and need some fixing |
Yeah it took a bit of time but I finally got it up closer |
The other side also needed some work |
GAP |
Less ofa gap |
Some cleanup but it is getting harder to see what has to be cleaned up so it will be primed soon |
And some window work |
and more |
and so on |
not done yet |
Here is my rant for the day. So I am looking around and trying to see if there is any other activity on anyone scratchbuilding a model like me. So far I have seen nothing. Which I am not sure how I would take. Well the main point is I see people talk about the figures that were released and how terrible they were. Well yes the Mal figure was bad. They then lament about how there were going to be no more figures and that hopefully some other company will make the figures. If the original suppliers (Diamond Select I believe) were not going to release any more figures, who said that others would. You would think that they would see what Diamond select saw and not take a chance on releasing Serenity or Firefly figures. This is unfortunate but what sort of bugs me is that they are not doing anything about it. One person is trying to get the fans to petition the manufacturer for a toy ship and that is about it. No one is saying they are going to attempt to make figures. There are a lot of talented people out there. Why are none of them trying to sculpt any figures? I have never sculpted a figure before but maybe I will try. Now who to try and sculpt. For me the most likely one is River. Then Zoe. They have some very nice poses. OK off I go to see if I can find some images.
