With the back part in I test to see how the shuttles fit in. Not bad on this side

Hmm this side doesn't fit in well so I will need to cut into the body more

After grinding for some time I am covered in bits of styrene but the opening is deeper. It takes several test fits of the rear bulkhead before it sits in right

Double checking the dept and the other side also needs to be modified too.

In hindsight I should have scribed the door opening but I needed to mve on so I glued in the bulkheads. That is what I am calling them now since I can not think of a better word at the moment

Glued in

And now the messy automotive putty has been added

All over the place

And now after it has dried and I have cleaned it up a bit

122810.jpg

Pretty eh?

122811.jpg

Not to be outdone the other side gets the same treatment

This is stil rough and will need several layers and sanding with the hobby putty to get a smooth finish

So I have the week off for holidays and I have been working on quite a few projects. Unfortunately Serenity is not getting any more time than usual but maybe a bit less. Normally I update my web page at work since uploading these things is fairly quick. However doing it at home on dial-up does take a bit more time.
