Some sanding and filing and I noticed the windows are not even

Out comes the exacto blade and the windows are slightly modified to make them all more even

Then puttying

Some sanding and then more puttying of the seams between the grills

The second frame I was using as a template to carve out the opening for the skylight

Change of plans after lots of work on the body was getting me nowhere. Now I am making an enclosure to put into the body. It looks like a Star Trek transporter pad

All done. With my chopper it was relatively pain free to make 8 pieces of the wall the exact same width. Try this at home kids

The finished oversized part on the body. The skylight area on the body has also been enlarged by quite a bit

The chopped down transporter has been installed in the body

Close up. Once the glue has dried I will fill in the surrounding gap

This was a case of hindsight is 20-20. The above method looks simple but it was not what I was doing originally. Similar to the windshield I was trying to carve the opening by hand. Not easy to get a nice finish. Using the enclosure is a lot cleaner
