Puttying and lots of carving of the windshield area. It was a mess as the putty kept chipping and it was hard to carve

Cut a new windshield surround. This is it. This is the final one. They were fairly flimsy and with the problems of the hard putty I decided to add a backing to the 0.010 styrene surround to give it strength

So I changed tactics for the windshield and the area it will be installed in. I an carving out the area and briefly considered a cockpit

The windshield sitting in the part. Once it is done I will carve out a recess in the putty to sit it in. This will give me a smooth recess that I have been having trouble achieving with carving and sanding

At the convention committee meeting we have been discussing the fandom and some of the negative aspects of it. The fans are very passionate and some are overly passionate and scaring some people away. Yes all fandoms have these type of people but are there more of these type of fans on average in the Firefly/Serenity fandom then others?

I have not experienced it since I do not go to many conventions.

Me I just want a model of the ship.
