After close examination of the area it is too rough and so even more putty goes on. There was a slight indent that was not smooth and sanding could not fix so out comes the putty

Same with the other side. A very slight minor indent but I can not help myself

  It looks like there is competition. Well sort of. A fellow flan is working on a paper model. Actually there are 2 people working on a paper model. One guy has done the engines already and another is working on the 3D mesh which he will use to make his paper model.

Different medium but it does encourage me to get moving more on my model.

Looking at references again I see that there is slight errors in the neck area which I can not help but redo. ! Step forward and 2 steps back.
