Ya I screwed up. I was working on one side and I was cutting the part to shape. When checking references I noticed I cut it too short. Crap. Now I had to add material. You can see the left top part has material added to the end. I then had to make some rectangular opening for the back side of these vent thing. Oh loads of fun cutting it ny hand

Screw up. Tried to glue the part to the back but it did not go on straight. The glue would not allow me to reposition it so I had to rip it off producing this mess

Grrr Argh!! The part to the right is ruined and I could salvage the part to the left but I now have to make a new right part

The inside of the indent will need to be cleaned up when it is dry. It is useless to try it now.

I basically have to make sure the entire thing is dry before working on it

I think I have gone insane. I am fussing and being meticulous about the very minor details. So the back side has an indent and of course I have to add that. Then I screw up my first attempt. I am spending too much time on this. Oh I saw SERENITY for the 9th time. I can't help but look at the details of the ship every time it comes on screen. Even though I know there are differences between that one and the one I am building.
