SERENITY - Sept 20 2005 |
The little winglets on the bottom of the engines |
One of the engine intakes that will be inserted |
Since the insert sits too high I have to grind out some of the resin inside |
Comparison of the inserts one deeper then the other |

The grinding that was done |
The rear section. A bit of work had to be done on them |
Holes were drilled in the middle to accept a 1/4-20 threaded rod for mounting purposes |
Still a few more cast parts. I may have enough now |
The moulds for the engine inserts |
Close up of the turkey feathers that need to be cleaned up. The newer casting technique with less resin has meant less cleanup needed. |
Rear of the body had to be modified for where the reactor is going to sit. I also drilled a hole to put in a threaded rod for assembly |
The threaded rod was puttied in. The hole was drilled a bit off center and needed to be opened up a bit so when I puttied it would be straight |

Assembly of the reactor parts |
Rear section still needed some materila removed to get things to fit |
