April 7 2002

This was the 2001 Group 25 club project the 1971 Charger. The body is box stock. What I did was replace the engine in the kit with a scratch built one. The motor I replaced inside is a mouse in a wheel. The cage was made of brass soldered together. The mouse was a piece of styrene carved to a mouse body shape with a wire for a tail. I then flocked the mouse with some tan flocking. It is a bit hard to see but in front of the mouse wheel is a piece of Swiss cheese that I carved from styrene and drilled some holes in it.

I painted the car with some acrylic paints I got on sale called wine red. Looking at the paint by itself it looked red but beside another red car this one looked pink. So yes the picture colours are right and it does look pink.

The Fit of the parts were fairly good. The chrome in the kit was ok but I have to admit I am not a fan of chrome. Wheels and tires were good.
