Andromeda 1:2500 Ascendant

This is a scratch built scale model of the ship Ascendant from the show Andromeda. It will be 1:2500 scale which will make it just over 20 inches long.
The ship is mainly curved surfaces so not an easy subject to start. It would be fairly hard to accomplish with the standard techniques. I am using the same technique that I used for my scratch built Serenity and 3ft long Star Trek Voyager. A mesh was made by Khaliban. I used this to produce my cross sections in half inch increments.
With the 3D mesh it can be produced by rapid prototyping. The cost of making it this way has dropped quite dramatically but for the size I want the costs would have been still fairly expensive.
The method I am using will get me most of the way but there will still need to be quite a bit of refining to get to the finish.
On the show the ship is a character called Rommi and it is played by Lexa Doig
