Protar 1:12 Ferrari 312T3 1978
April 20 1996

Background

Engine
Replaced kit wires with better ones. Added Pe bolts in certain areas as well as hoses and wires seen in references. Added mesh to the radiators and made fittings for the hoses.

Instruments
Replaced the kit wires with thinner ones. Also added more wires

Wings
Used pinheads to replace the rivets on the wing endplates. Used Bare Metal foil over wing surfaces

Body
Used Testors Clear and this has yellowed over time. Front body work was destroyed during the building process so I had to scratch built a new one. Used mirrored acrylic sheet to make mirrors

Other
The suspension is made of white metal and was hard to clean up. The suspension also bolted together and is solid. General fit of parts is not too bad. Kit comes with rubber hoses that have serious kinks in them. These should be replaced with better looking ones. I have heard that if you put these hoses into hot water these will straighten out.
