C3 Day 92 - Jan 18 2005
Whenever I have R2 out kids and even adults love looking into the HPs. One has a bright light in it but I decided to put something on the other HPs. One day while walking through Radio Shack I saw some battery operated fans. These has this little LED circuit in the middle. As the fan turns the centrifugal force closes a switch and the LEDs light up. Not only do they light up but the flash on and off to produce some neat patterns. I plan to install these behind the HPs
For a mount I have epoxied 2 bolts to the dome. I made a jig to hold the bolts parallel I then used 5 minute epoxy to temporarily glue the bolts to the dome
Once that had set I carefully pulled off the jig and put on some stronger putty. This has a 24 hour curetime but is super strong

here are the motors mounts and the fans with the blades cut off. The motor mounts are just bent aluminum sheet
