C3 Day 82 - Jan 28 2005

Progress has been actually fairly good. Because the progress has been so quick the enthusiasm has been very up. The base piece is one of the final pieces before I can assemble the components and then I can start foaming. I should plan out how I am going to mount the thing and design some internal structure before foaming but I don't want to waste too much time thinking about it. It would be better to figure out a mounting system and put it in and then foam as this would make the structure more solid.

Magically a finished styrene folded base. Actually 3 hours later

Tired but I wanted to start gluing the sections so it had overnight for the glued joints to really dry thoroughly.

The middle section sure was a pain to line up and glue on due to the bulky flimsy nature of the thing. Once done the back section had to be slowly glued on one wall at a time as the structure was not true and some pressure had to be applied and the glue set

Whoo hooo. The front section is not square. It would have taken a lot of force to try and glue it all at once. I decided to glue the top portion first and let it sit overnight. Tomorrow I will glue the rest of it and also the missing sections
